It all begins with you...

My very first blog. I have to tell you. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. But do any of us. Really? Isn't that the point? - To figure it out as you go along. To live, learn and EVOLVE.

For while now I have known that I wanted to create something. A place, a community of like minded souls with one aim. To build each other UP!

A group of humans so in love with themselves and their journey, they are full of the capacity to grow and empower themselves AND one another. A team. A family.

But like a biological family that is connected by DNA. I knew there needed to be a single thread of brilliance that connected this community. Something we could all relate to and believe in.

Hello Yoga. And wellness - in every sense of the word. A physical, mental and spiritual connection to something more.

Did you know Yoga means Union? A connection of everything we believe we are and everything we can become.

But it begins first with YOU. I'm talking to you dear reader. Yes you. Right now. Welcome. I want you to know wherever you are, whoever you are with. You have a place here. You BELONG here. This family can be as much or as little as you need it to be.

I give you one promise. If you embrace the things I will talk to you about. Your life WILL change. Maybe a little maybe a lot. But if I'm sure of anything its that as you learn more about the beautiful practice of Yoga. As I share with you how to move your physical body, tune into your spiritual body and explore the endless possibilities for love and understanding of all that you are and all you have the power to be. You WILL feel empowered, beautiful, capable. You will feel more YOU. And darling - you are simply fabulous.

Okay so who am I to promise this to you? You don't know me. I don't know you.

Let me tell you... I am a woman who has taken over 3 decades to grow into my skin. To accept who and what I am and to be totally and utterly IN LOVE with that person. Honestly - Ive never been so in awe of myself. With my power. With my journey. Ive never been so grateful of every twist and turn that has lead me to this very second, talking to you here.

4 years of age is a tough time to become an adult. To feel like the head of the family and from that point on only to know a life of people pleasing and trying to 'fit' in with the expectations others had of me. I remember from a VERY young age people telling me I was wise for my years - old head on young shoulders. Yep that happens when you have no choice.

I'll spare you the details. They don't matter. What matters is that all of that and everything since has gifted me with a very unique viewpoint in this world. I built my world with a sole purpose - make sure everyone else was okay. If I could just keep a steady ship - everything and everyone would be okay.

Let me tell you - it was not my job to keep a steady ship as a child! It was - not - my - job. But am I resentful I feel my childhood years were taken from me.? Are you kidding me - Im a freakin goodness now!

I'm now a Yoga teacher. Ive done the 9-5 for 16 years. I entered into the retrace. I lived for the drumbeat of the executive environment - somewhere I feel I belonged. Until suddenly and without warning. A fundamental shift in my being (yes because of Yoga). I knew there was more and after a bit of careful planning and some serious manifesting on a life I knew I belonged in. Im here - free of the boundaries and restrictions. Free to share my journey, knowledge, passion with you. In the hope you might share something with one other person and they might do the same.

A chain reaction then - a chain of goddesses. Oh my lord. Can you imagine anything more powerful.

Are you ready? Hint : You never are. But as per the title of this very 'blog'. Yes I'm a blog virgin - you can't tell can you - HA - (my previous corporate emails would have read - please see above. Yuk!). IT BEGINS WITH YOU.

All of it begins with you - the shift in your own life, the profound and beautiful impact you can have on others. The building blocks you can lay down for a full and glorious life for you and everyone in your world. It. Begins. With. You.
